Charissa is an American sportscaster born on May 5, 1982. ESPN analyst was appointed to co-host the show by SportsNation in the year the year 2012. She was the host of the ABC show Splash together with Joey Lawrence. She was co-hosting the ABC series Splash alongside Joey Lawrence.. Thompson was born and was raised in Seattle Washington. She was the youngest of three. She knew at an early age that she would like to become a journalist. Thompson attended Inglemoor High School near Kenmore, Washington. Thompson left for California so she could attend a California university for community students. She later transferred to the University of California, Santa Barbara in Santa Barbara, where she earned an B.A. In 2004 she received the B.A. from Law and Society. Thompson stated that although Sports Illustrated stated she attended UC Santa Barbara before transferring from UC Santa Barbara to a California Community College, she was not in attendance in Washington State. Before her broadcasting career Thompson received an email from Sports Illustrated offering her to appear in body paint in an Swimsuit Issue.
